Russia Launches Missiles Across Ukraine, Causing Power Outages in Many Areas

In a widespread offensive this morning, Russian troops targeted several regions across Ukraine with missiles, causing power outages in numerous areas. The attack hit major cities, including Kiev, the Black Sea ports of Odessa and Kharkiv, and multiple cities from Zytomir to Poltava.

According to reports, the southwestern part of Kiev experienced several explosions, leading to a team of rescuers rushing to the area. The mayor of Kiev stated that there was a preventive power cut before the attack, but still, about 15% of the city’s population was affected.

In the Odessa region, the governor reported that the missile attacks resulted in the destruction of a power plant, leading to widespread electricity cuts in the area.

The Russian government has not yet issued a statement regarding the attacks. This offensive marks the latest escalation in tensions between Ukraine and Russia, which have been at odds since the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014. The conflict has already led to the displacement of thousands of people and numerous casualties.

The situation is ongoing, and authorities are urging residents in affected areas to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines. The international community has also been called upon to intervene and help resolve the conflict peacefully.
