Several oil deliveries to Europe temporarily suspended after failure of Ukrainian power plant

Hungarian and Slovakian oil pipeline operators announced that oil deliveries via the Druzhba pipeline to parts of Eastern and Central Europe have been temporarily suspended.

The Hungarian company MOL said that partners from Ukraine had informed the company that a missile had hit a power plant near the Belarusian border that supplies electricity to a gas station. This led to the interruption of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

At the same time, the Slovak company Transpetrol also confirmed the interruption of the pipeline, saying that it was a technical problem on the Ukrainian side, but not due to a missile attack.

Trans Petro stated that the reason for the suspension of oil deliveries through the pipeline has not been officially confirmed by the Ukrainian side.
