Bitcoin continues to hover around $40,000, as of today (April 15) the Bitcoin price fell 2.80% to $40,110.12.
Bitcoin’s negative movement this morning came after stock markets in the U.S. fell altogether. The Dow Jones Index closed 113 points lower on Thursday (April 14). Markets may have to prepare for rising interest rates as inflation has risen to levels last seen 40 years ago.
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 113.36 points, or 0.33%, to close at 34,451.23.
- The S&P 500 fell 54.00, or 1.21%, to close at 4,392.59.
- The NASDAQ fell 292.51 points, or 2.14%, to close at 13,351.08.

Crypto exchange Bitfinex, in partnership with USDT issuer Tether, has set up a digital asset fund and donated $1 million in Bitcoin to help families in El Salvador affected by ongoing gang crimes.
Bitfinex and Tether have set up a cryptocurrency relief fund to support the victims and also donate 25 BTC or over $1 million to officially launch the facility.
Ardoino is also appealing to people to donate cryptocurrencies, while the company is working with local governments and community groups to ensure donations are distributed fairly under strict oversight.
