China’s mobile phone market witnessed an impressive surge in July, with mobile phone shipments exceeding a remarkable 18.55 million units, as reported by the China Institute of Information and Communications Technology (CIICT). The CIICT’s report highlights that 5G-enabled handsets played a pivotal role in driving this surge, accounting for the largest share of mobile phone shipments in July, totaling 15.06 million units. Moreover, July proved to be a bustling month for the mobile phone industry in China, with a total of 30 new mobile phone models introduced to the domestic market.
