The Gold Traders Association in Thailand reported that the retail price of gold (96.5% purity) in the country has increased by 250 baht from the previous day, with gold bars being sold at 30,200 baht per baht gold and gold jewelry being sold at 30,700 baht per baht gold.
Analysis from GT Gold Bullion Company shows that the price of gold closed at $1,952, rising significantly from the previous day as a result of the Federal Reserve (Fed) raising interest rates by 0.25% as expected by investors. The upward trend is steady after breaking the previous downward trend.
The global gold price currently stands at $1,955, with high volatility seen last night as prices rose above the previous high of $1,949.
