Economic data releases for Tuesday include South Korea’s December industrial production and retail sales, Japan’s December unemployment rate and retail sales, and China’s January Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for manufacturing and services, as well as December industrial profit.
On Wednesday, South Korea will release January imports, exports, and trade balance, China will report Caixin’s January PMI, and Indonesia will release its January inflation rate.
On Thursday, South Korea will report its January inflation rate, and on Friday, South Korea will release its foreign exchange reserves, China will report its January service sector PMI, and Singapore will report December retail sales.
Europe
On Monday, Germany will release its fourth-quarter 2022 gross domestic product (GDP) and the EU will report January consumer confidence.
On Tuesday, Germany will report December retail sales and January unemployment.
On Wednesday, France will release the final January manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) from S&P Global, Germany will release its final January manufacturing PMI from S&P Global, the EU will release its final January manufacturing PMI from S&P Global, and the unemployment rate for December. The UK will also release its final January manufacturing PMI from S&P Global/CIPS.
On Thursday, Germany will report December imports, exports, and trade balance, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank will announce interest rate resolutions.
On Friday, France will report December industrial production and the final January PMI from S&P Global, Germany, the EU, and the UK will report their final January services PMI from S&P Global.
The U.S.
On Monday, the US will release the January manufacturing index from the Dallas Fed.
Tuesday will see the release of the November house price index from the S&P/Case-Shiller and the Conference Board’s leading economic indicator for January.
On Wednesday, the US will report private payrolls for January from ADP, the final Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for January from S&P Global, the January manufacturing index from the US Institute of Supply Management (ISM), December job openings and labor turnover (JOLTS) figures, December construction spending, and weekly oil stock from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). The US Federal Reserve (Fed) will also hold a monetary policy meeting and announce interest rate resolutions.
On Thursday, the US will report weekly jobless claims and December factory orders.
On Friday, the US will report nonfarm payrolls for January, the final Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for January from S&P Global, and the January manufacturing index from the US Institute of Supply Management (ISM).
