FTI shows highest auto production figure in November in 44 months, despite drop in exports

The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) reported that a total of 190,155 cars were produced in November, up 15% from November and the highest in 44 months. In the 11 months of the year (January-November), a total of 1,724,909 units were produced, while the target was 1.75 million units. This makes it possible to focus on the actual target of 1.8 million units.

In November, finished car exports shrank 10.98% year-on-year to 87,228 units with an export value of 78,415.24 million baht, with exports in the 11-month period (Jan-Nov) totaling 888,651 cars, up 3.59%.

FTI said that monthly exports in November should be better because more cars could be produced, but there is a problem with the lack of ships. This is because each country competes for cargo space.
