South Korea’s unemployment rate up in November

Government data released Wednesday showed South Korea’s unemployment rate rose in November.

The country’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.9% in November, down from 2.8% in October and a record low of 2.5% in August.

In the 12 months through November, the labor force rose by 626,000, continuing annual growth for the 21st consecutive month, but it was the smallest increase since November 2021.
