Honda suspends production at three factories in Wuhan due to COVID-19 lockdown

Honda Motor announced Monday (Nov. 28) that it is suspending operations at three auto plants in the Chinese city of Wuhan as China continues to implement lockdown measures to continuously contain the spread of COVID-19.

The decision to suspend operations was made after employees were unable to travel to work due to the official closure of Wuhan as a result of China’s strict zero covid policy. Honda is now considering whether it can resume normal operations today (Nov. 29) or later.
