Tesla cuts Model 3 and Model Y deliveries to one week

Tesla, the largest U.S. electric car maker, announced yesterday (Nov. 15) on its website that it has shortened delivery times for all Model 3 and Model Y vehicles to at least one week.

According to China Merchants Bank International (CMBI), Tesla brought more electric cars into its Shanghai warehouse in October than ever before. And this comes at a time when automakers and investors are bracing for a slowdown in the Chinese auto market.

Tesla also announced a price cut for the Model 3 and Model Y in China in September to boost sales.

Last week, Tesla offered additional discounts to buyers who took delivery of cars this month and purchased insurance from one of its partners.
