U.S. construction spending up 0.2% in September
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, construction spending rose 0.2% in September from the previous month after falling 0.6% in August.
Year-on-year, construction spending increased by 10.9% in September.
Private sector spending on construction projects rose 0.4% after falling 0.7% in August.
Spending on private residential projects stabilized in September, while spending on nonresidential projects increased 1.0%.
Spending on public projects declined 0.4% after falling 0.8% in August.
