Indonesia’s inflation eased in October

Data from the Statistics Office showed Tuesday that Indonesia’s inflation rate slowed in October. However, it remained above the central bank’s target range for five consecutive months. The market expected a slight acceleration.

The annual headline inflation rate eased to 5.71% in October from 5.95% in September.

Annual core inflation, which excludes government-controlled prices and fluctuating food prices, rose to 3.31% last month from 3.21% in September.
