Taiwan’s inflation rate at 2.75% in September

According to Taiwan’s Department of Budget, Accounting, and Statistics (DGBAS), inflation in Taiwan increased in September. The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key measure of inflation, rose to 2.75% year-on-year.

A statement from DGBAS said inflation accelerated in September after rising 2.66% year-on-year in August.

Economists expected the CPI to rise by 2.7% year-on-year in September.
