Germany’s final manufacturing PMI fell in September. after the new order plummeted

S&P Global said its final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) contracted for the third straight month to 47.8 in September, the lowest level since June 2020 and below the level of 49.1 in August

It was affected by the continued drop in new orders as energy costs rose, signaling negative business prospects.

German final manufacturing in September grew below expectations of 48.3, with levels below 50 indicating German manufacturing was shrinking.
