Philippine central bank expects inflation to range between 6.6% and 7.4% in September

The Philippine central bank today (Sept. 30) forecast that annual inflation in September will likely be in a range of 6.6% to 7.4%.

The central bank said that inflation in September was caused by rising electricity prices and the price of basic food items, as well as the devaluation of the peso.
