On Tuesday, Japan will publish the inflation rate for August. The People’s Bank of China will announce its key lending rate for customer loans (LPR), the Reserve Bank of Australia will publish the minutes of its meeting and Malaysia will release its trade balance report for August.
On Thursday, the Bank of Japan (BOJ) will announce its interest rate decision.
On Friday, South Korea reports the producer price index (PPI) for August, Australia reports the purchasing managers’ index (PMI) for services and manufacturing for September from S&P Global, Malaysia reports the inflation rate for August, and Singapore reports the inflation rate for August.
Europe
On Tuesday, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for August will be published in Germany.
On Thursday, the Bank of England (BOE) will announce its interest rate decision.
On Friday, the UK releases the September Consumer Confidence Index from the Gfk Institute and the September Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for services and manufacturing from S&P Global/CIPS. France, Germany and the EU report the September Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for services and manufacturing also from S&P Global.
The U.S.
On Monday, the September housing market index of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) will be released.
On Tuesday, housing starts and building permits data for August will be released.
On Wednesday, the U.S. will release used home sales for the month of August, weekly oil inventories from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and interest rate decisions from the Federal Reserve (Fed).
Thursday will see the release of weekly initial jobless claims, the 2Q22 current account, and the Conference Board’s leading economic index for August.
On Friday, the September Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for services and manufacturing will be released by S&P Global.
