Asia

On Monday, retail sales for August will be published in Malaysia.

On Tuesday, Japan publishes the producer price index (PPI) for August. Australia releases the September consumer confidence index from Westpac and the August business confidence index from the National Australia Bank (NAB).

On Wednesday, Japan releases machinery orders for July and industrial production for July.

On Thursday, imports, exports and the trade balance for August will be reported in Japan, as well as the unemployment rate for August in Australia.

On Friday, South Korea reports the unemployment rate for August. Singapore will report exports for August, and China will report house prices for August, industrial production for August, retail sales for August, fixed asset investment for August, and the unemployment rate for August.

Europe

On Monday, the United Kingdom publishes the industrial production for July and the trade balance for July.

On Tuesday, Germany publishes the inflation rate for August, and the ZEW Institute’s September economic confidence index. The United Kingdom reports the unemployment rate for July. The EU publishes the ZEW Institute’s economic confidence index for the Eurozone for September, .

On Wednesday, the UK publishes the inflation rate for August, and the EU publishes a report on industrial production in July.

On Thursday, the Bank of England (BoE) will announce its interest rate decision.

On Friday, the EU reports car sales and inflation for August, and the UK reports retail sales for August.

The U.S

On Tuesday, the U.S. consumer price index (CPI) for August will be released.

On Wednesday, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for August and weekly oil inventories will be released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Thursday’s release includes weekly initial jobless claims, retail sales for August, the New York Fed’s Empire State Manufacturing September Index, the Philadelphia Fed’s Manufacturing September Index, import and export prices for August, industrial production for August, and business inventories for July.

On Friday, the consumer confidence index for September will be published.
