Vietnam’s foreign trade increased by 15.5 % in the first eight months of the year

The Vietnam Bureau of Statistics has released forecasts for the value of international trade. Between January and August, the value of international trade was $497 billion, up 15.5% year-on-year, while the trade surplus was $3.96 billion.

Broken down by type of exports, it showed that Vietnam’s export revenues increased by 17.3% to $250 billion. Import revenues increased by 13.6% to $246 billion.

According to the Vietnam Bureau of Statistics, the U.S. remains the largest importer from Vietnam at $77.7 billion, and China is the largest exporter to Vietnam at $8.21 billion.
