India’s GDP grows by 13.5% from April to June

The National Statistical Office of India (NSO) reported that gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 13.5% from April to June 2022, the first quarter of India’s fiscal year 2022-2023.

The GDP figure was the highest in a year, although it was lower than analysts’ expectations of 15.2%.

The Indian economy grew by 20.1% in April-June 2021, based on comparisons with the underperforming 2020 baseline.
