On Monday, the Chinese central bank sets the interest rate for LPR loans.

On Tuesday, the consumer confidence index for August will be released in South Korea, the S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index for the manufacturing and services sectors will be released in Australia, and the Bank of Indonesia will hold its monetary policy meeting with the announcement of interest rate decisions.

On Wednesday, the business sentiment index for August will be published in South Korea.

On Thursday, South Korea releases the Producer Price Index (PPI) for July, and the Bank of Korea announces its interest rate decision.

On Saturday, China reports the industrial profit for July.

Europe

On Tuesday, France, Germany, the EU, and the UK publish their S&P Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for August from Global/CIPS.

On Thursday, Germany publishes the gross domestic product (GDP) for Q2/22 and the Ifo business confidence index for August.

On Friday, the September consumer climate of the GFK Institute will be published in Germany and the August consumer confidence index in France.

The U.S.

On Monday, the nationwide economic activity index for July will be released by the Chicago Fed.

On Tuesday, the S&P Global Composite Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), manufacturing and services PMI for August, and new home sales for July will be released.

On Wednesday, durable goods orders for July, pending home sales, and weekly oil inventories will be released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

On Thursday, the U.S. reports the number of weekly initial jobless claims, and gross domestic product (GDP) Q2/22 (Estimate No. 2)

On Friday, the U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index for July, wholesale inventories for July, and the consumer sentiment index for August will be released.
