According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the unemployment rate in China’s urban areas was 5.4% in July, down from 5.5% in June.
The report stated that 7.83 million new jobs were created in urban areas in the first seven months of 2022.
The unemployment rate among people aged 25-29, China’s main workers, dropped to 4.3% in July.
The unemployment rate in China’s 31 major cities fell by 0.2% to 5.6% in July compared with June.
