Bitcoin falls to $24,000 – Thai SEC reveals Kub yields minus 80.23%

Bitcoin’s downward movement this morning came after the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 424 points on Friday (August 12).

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 424.38 points, or 1.27%, to close at 33,761.05.
  • The S&P 500 rose 1.73% to close at 4,280.15 points.
  • The Nasdaq gained 2.09% to close at 13,047.19 points.

The Thai SEC has released a report on the global digital assets market (Aug. 12, 2022), which currently has a market capitalization of about $1.10 trillion and a daily turnover of $42.48 billion.

The value of digital asset trading in Thailand declined 72% to ฿ 71 billion in July 2022, the lowest level since ฿ 250 billion in January 2021.

When including the number of trading accounts with the movement of private stock traders in the country in June 2022, there were 25,000 active accounts out of a total of 2,867,231 accounts, the lowest level in a year.

KUB is the sixth largest traded coin in Thailand with a value of ฿44 billion. This corresponds to a negative yield of 80.23% at the moment.

These three digital currencies have the highest trading value on exchanges in Thailand, with Tether valued at ฿120 billion, Bitcoin at ฿92.1 billion, and Ethereum at ฿63.7 billion.
