U.S. wholesale inventories rose less than expected in June

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, wholesale inventories rose by 1.8% in June compared with the previous month. However, this figure was below analysts’ estimates of 1.9%, following a 1.9% increase in May.

Wholesale inventories increased by 25.5% year-on-year in June.

Wholesale sales rose 1.8% in June, following a 0.7% gain in May.

In addition, it takes 1.26 months for a contractor to run out of inventory unchanged from May.
