Inflation in Germany slows to 7.5% in July

As reported by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the inflation rate in Germany decreased in July. This corresponds to the first estimate.

According to final data from Destatis, the consumer price index (CPI) rose 7.5% year on year in July. This is in line with economists’ predictions in the Wall Street Journal survey and slower than the CPI in June when it had risen by 7.6%.
