Malaysia to lift export ban on chicken meat due to oversupply on the market

The Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said that Malaysia’s ban on chicken exports will expire on August 31.

Malaysia mainly exports chicken to neighboring countries such as Singapore and Thailand. In June, it temporarily suspended exports until production and prices stabilized.

As a result of the export ban, there is currently a slight supply surplus of chicken meat in Malaysia.
