Thailand’s exports expected to rise by 6 to 8% this year

The National Shippers Group said today that Thai exports will grow by 6% to 8% this year, compared with a previous forecast of 5% to 8%, due to the weak baht and rising global demand.

The chairman of the National Council of Shippers said exports, the main engine of growth, were up 12.7% year-on-year in the first half of 2022 and that the positive outlook would continue in the second half.
