Vietnam’s consumer prices decelerate slightly in July

Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.14% YoY in July following a 3.37% increase in the previous month. Thus, the consumer price increase slowed somewhat in July. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.4% after a 0.69% increase in June.

10 of the 11 main groups recorded a monthly increase, only Transport Service recorded a decrease in prices of 2.85% due to a decrease in fuel prices.

Food and Catering Service increased by 3.81% YoY. Home material prices increased by 7.84% and rice prices increased by 1.15%.

Vietnamese industrial production increased by 11.2% YoY in July.

Retail sales rose 42.6% YoY in July.
