Thailand’s imports and exports grow at double-digit rates in June

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce announced that Thai exports reached $26,553 million in June 2022, up 11.85% from June. In the first six months of this year, they increased by 12.7% to $149,184 million.

In June, imports amounted to $28,082 million, up 24.48% year-on-year and 2.55% from May 2022, increasing by 20.96% to a value of $155,440 million in the first six months of this year.

A trade deficit of $1,529 million was recorded in June 2022, a reversal from June 2021, when a trade surplus of $1,180 million was recorded.

In the first six months of this year, there was a trade deficit of $6,255 million. In the same period of 2021, there was a trade surplus of $3,847 million.
