Russia’s oil production rose by 3.4% in the first half of the year, but gas production fell by 5%

The Russian energy minister said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin that Russian oil production rose by 3.4% in the first six months of this year compared with the same period last year. However, gas production fell by 5%.

Hard coal production in the first half of the year remained at the level of the prior-year period.

At the same time, gasoline and diesel production increased by 4.5% year-on-year.

The Russian Energy Minister said that the performance of the Russian energy sector in the first half of 2022 is still able to adapt to the difficult economic conditions. In addition, the domestic energy market is stable and there are no problems with power supply.
