This will be important this week

The U.S.

On Monday, the U.S. Housing Market Index for July will be released by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

June housing starts and building permits will be released on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, U.S. used home sales in June and weekly oil inventories will be reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

On Thursday, the U.S. will release weekly initial jobless claims, the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index for July, and the Conference Board’s leading economic index for June.

On Friday, the S&P Global Manufacturing-Service Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for July will be released.

Asia

On Tuesday, the Reserve Bank of Australia releases the minutes of the monetary policy meeting.

On Wednesday, the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) will set interest rates for LPR loans.

On Thursday, Japan reports its June imports, exports, and trade balance. The Bank of Japan (BOJ) meets on monetary policy and the publication of interest rate decisions.

On Friday, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for June will be released in South Korea, the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for July from S&P Global will be released in Australia, and the inflation rate for June will be released in Japan.

Europe

On Tuesday, the UK publishes the unemployment rate for May and the EU publishes the inflation rate for June.

On Wednesday, Germany will publish the Producer Price Index (PPI) for June. The UK reports on inflation in June.

On Thursday, the European Central Bank (ECB) meets for a monetary policy meeting and publishes its interest rate decision.

On Friday, the UK will publish the retail sales for June and the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for manufacturing and services in July from S&P Global/CIPS for the UK, France, Germany and the EU.
