South Korea to make income from government bonds tax-free

South Korean Finance Minister Choo Kyung-ho said on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Bali that South Korea will abolish income tax on investments in its government bonds.

This is intended to attract foreign investors.

However, the details of the plan are not yet known. The government is expected to announce details later this month.
