Asian stock markets closed higher on Monday

—– The Nikkei in Tokyo closed in the plus. Investors eased their concerns about the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) rate hike plans. The biggest gainers were Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha+9.64%, Tokyo Electric Power Co, Inc.+7.55%, and Otsuka Holdings Ltd+5.38%. The biggest losers were Sumitomo Osaka Cement-3.97%, KDDI Corp.-2.34%, and Keio Corp.-2.14%.

The Nikkei Index closed at 26,871.27, up 379.30, or 1.43%.

—– The Australian S&P/ASX 200 closed almost 2% higher due to buying by a broad investor base. The biggest gainers were Pointsbet Holdings+12.45%, Megaport Ltd+9.11%, and Flight Center+6.61%. The losers were Evolution Mining-21.89%, Northern Star Resources-12.14%, and Resolute Mining-6.25%.

The S&P/ASX 200 index closed at 6,706.00, up 127.30, or +1.94%.
The All Ordinaries Index closed at 6,893.60 points, up 131.20 points, or +1.94%.

—– The KOSPI in South Korea closed in positive territory for the second consecutive day. The biggest gainers were MetaLabs+29.97%, Hyundai Pharm+19.45%, and Kukje Pharma+17.01%. The biggest losers were NCsoft Corp-4.02%, Jcontentree-4%, and Samsung Biologics-3.01%.

The Composite Index (KOSPI) closed at 2,401.92 points, up 35.32 points, or +1.49%.

—– China’s Shanghai Composite closed higher, responding to hopes that the Chinese government would take measures to help the economy recover. NetPosa Technologies Ltd(+2083%), Huayi Brothers Media Corp(+20.16%) and MH Robot Automation(+20.01%) were among the biggest gainers. The losing side was led by Xgd(-14.68%), Shenzhen SC New Energy A(-10.99%), and Shaanxi Huaqin Tech Industry(-10.83%).

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,379.19, up 29.44, or +0.88%.

—– Hang Seng in Hong Kong closed higher, led by Success Dragon Intl+64.44%, Doumob+47.46%, Golden Solar New Energy Technology+36.24%. Losers were led by Vicon Holdings. -75.21%, Alco-38.46%, and Vico International Holdings-31.64%.

The Hang Seng Index closed at 22,229.52, up 510.46, or +2.35%.

—– The Thai stock market closed in line with the international market. The gainers were led by Castle Peak Holdings +29.03%, PRG Corporation +23.61%, and TWZ+14.29%. The biggest losers were Jasmine Telecom Systems-13.69%, Chemman-11.51%, and PP Prime-7.14%.

The SET closed at 1580.20 points, up 11.44 points, or +0.73%.
