Europe

On Monday, the United Kingdom publishes the trade balance for April and industrial production in April.

On Tuesday, Germany publishes the inflation rate for May and the ZEW Institute’s economic assessment for June, while the UK announces the unemployment rate for April. For the EU, the industrial production report for April and the ZEW Institute’s economic expectations for June are available.

On Wednesday, the EU publishes the trade balance for April.

On Thursday, the Bank of England (BoE) will meet for a monetary policy meeting and publish its interest rate decision.

On Friday, the EU publishes its core consumer price index for the month of May and the consumer price index (CPI).

Asia

On Tuesday, Australia will release the house price index for 1Q22, followed by Japanese industrial production for April.

On Wednesday, South Korea releases its unemployment rate for May, followed by Japan with a report on machinery orders in April. Australia releases its consumer confidence index for June from Westpac and China reports industrial production for May, retail sales for May, fixed asset investment for May, and unemployment for May.

On Thursday, South Korea releases import and export prices for May. Japan also reports May imports, exports, and trade balance, followed by Australia’s May unemployment rate and China releases the May house price index.

On Friday, the Bank of Japan’s monetary policy statement will be released.

The U.S.

On Tuesday, the NFIB small business confidence index for May and the producer price index (PPI) for May will be released in the US.

On Wednesday, U.S. retail sales for the month of May, the Empire State Manufacturing Index for the month of June from the New York Fed, the Import and Export Price Index for the month of May, business inventories for the month of April, the Housing Market Index for the month of June from the NAHB, weekly oil inventories from the EIA, and the Federal Reserve Monetary Policy Committee (FOMC) interest rate decision will be announced.

On Thursday, the U.S. will release weekly initial jobless claims, May housing starts, building permits, and the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index for June.

On Friday, the US industrial production report for May will be published.
