Bitcoin Falls Following U.S. Stock Markets Closing Positive on Friday

Bitcoin went up by 0.73% today (May 15), moving at $29,765.47.

The Bitcoin price moved into negative territory this afternoon in Asia on the back of a 466-point gain in the Dow Jones Index on Friday (May 13) as investors bought up speculative stocks. As a result, the price has recovered in all groups after the stock market on Wall Street fell for six consecutive days.

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 466.36 points, or 1.47%, to close at 32,196.66.
  • The S&P 500 rose 2.39% to close at 4,023.89 points.
  • The Nasdaq rose 3.82% to close at 11,805 points.

In the past week, Bitcoin’s slump has sent other cryptocurrencies crashing, with Ethereum falling more than 20% in the past 24 hours to $1,720.58.

However, other cryptocurrencies also fell. The smallest drop of 2.17% was recorded by Tether at $0.9781, followed by Bitcoin, which fell 13.38% to $27,155.93. Binance BNB digital currencies fell 24.78% to $235.57, and Solana dropped 34.52% to $42.91.

Terra LUNA, which fell 99% in a week, quickly lost its position in the top 10 digital assets.
