The US Economic Activity Index fell in March

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago said its Chicago Fed National Activity Index (CFNAI) dropped to 0.44 in March from 0.54 in February.

The index was affected by the slowdown in production, employment and consumption.

The CFNAI index is a weighted index of U.S. economic activity. According to analysts, the CFNAI index is one of the best indicators for assessing the risks of a recession in the US.
