The German Institute for Economic Research (Ifo) reported that its business climate index rose to 91.8 in April from 90.8 in March.
The German business climate index rebalanced in April after falling sharply in March due to high energy prices and uncertainty caused by the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
“The German economy has shown its resilience,”Ifo president Clemens Fuest said.
In addition, the German business expectations index rose to 86.7 in April from 84.9 in the previous month. The current assessment of the situation in Germany rose slightly in April to 97.2 from 97.1 in the month before.
