Bitcoin falls back below $40,000 As of today (April 23), the Bitcoin price fell 1.74% to $39,680.
Bitcoin downtrend this morning matched the trend yesterday of the major U.S. stock markets. The DOW closed 981 points lower on Friday (April 22) on concerns that the U.S. economy could be hurt by the Fed’s accelerated rate hikes.
- Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 981.36 points or 2.8% to close at 33,811.40 points.
- The S&P 500 fell 2.8% to close at 4,271.78 points.
- The NASDAQ fell 2.6% to close at 12,839.29 points.
Crypto markets lose $3.3 million in one day as Bitcoin price falls above $40,000.
Bitcoin attempted to test the $43,000 level yesterday, but was unsuccessful and fell back below $40,000 within a few hours. Like most altcoins, the market remains in the red. Ethereum broke below $3,000 and BNB is hovering around the $400 mark.
Binance Coin is approaching $430, but there is a possibility that it will soon fall below $400.
Other coins such as Ripple, Solana, Terra, Cardano, Avalanche, Polkadot, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have also fallen within the last 24 hours.
