The U.S.
On Monday, the U.S. wholesale inventories report for February and the manufacturing business index for March from the Dallas Fed will be released.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Home Price Index for January, the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Rate (JOLTS) for February, and the Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index for March will be released.
On Wednesday, the US will report ADP labor market data for March, gross domestic product (GDP) for the fourth quarter, and weekly oil inventories from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
On Thursday, the number of weekly initial jobless claims, personal income and spending for February, and the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index for February will be reported.
Friday’s release will include March nonfarm payrolls, S&P Global’s final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for March, the U.S. Institute of Supply Management’s (ISM) manufacturing index for March, construction spending for February, and auto sales for March.
Asia
On Tuesday, the consumer confidence index for March will be published in South Korea, the unemployment rate for February in Japan, and retail sales for February in Australia.
On Wednesday, the Bank of Thailand will announce its interest rate decision.
On Thursday, South Korea reported business confidence for March, retail sales for February, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released China’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for March and services purchasing managers’ index for March.
On Friday, Australia releases S&P Global’s final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for the month of March, Japan releases Japanese industrial confidence (Tangan) for the first quarter of 2022, South Korea releases imports, exports, and trade balance for the month of March, China releases Caixin’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for the month of March, and to close the day, Indonesia releases inflation for the month of March.
Europe
On Tuesday, Germany will report the GfK Consumer Climate for April, retail sales for February, and France will publish the Consumer Confidence Index for March.
On Wednesday, the EU published consumer confidence for March.
On Thursday, Germany reports the unemployment rate in March, followed by the EU on the unemployment rate in February.
In addition, the UK publishes the House Price Index for March, Business Investment from Q4 2021, and GDP from Q4.
There are CPI figures from France and Italy.
On Friday, the UK reports the final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) for March, Global/CIPS France’s final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for March from S&P Global, and Germany’s final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for March from S&P Global, followed by the EU with the final manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for March and inflation for March.
