According to the French statistics office (INSEE), the unemployment rate in France fell to its lowest level since 2008 in 4/21, standing at 7.4%, compared with 8.0% in the previous quarter.
Unemployment rates are the lowest since the third quarter of 2008, with the exception of the first days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when people were unable to find work during the nationwide lockdown.
In 2021, the French economy grew by 7%, the fastest pace in 50 years, which helped support the domestic labor market.
