“Friendship between the two States has no limits, there are no ‘forbidden’ areas of cooperation,” the two nations said after announcing deeper cooperation between the two powers.
China and Russia are deepening their cooperation even further after both nations feel that the U.S., through its global influence, is sanctioning nations based on the power position of the monetary system. Many countries have already criticized the U.S. for using the SWIFT system to leverage nations.
The two powers no longer want to put up with this and show that with their statement “Friendship between the two States has no limits”.
How exactly the collaboration will look and what it will involve is still open. But the focus is to be on space, climate change, artificial intelligence, and control of the Internet
The first deal, however, involves energy supplies for the time being. Both nations have signed a natural gas deal that will transport gas from western Russia to northern China via a new pipeline over the next 30 years. Natural gas is expected to play a major role in China’s transition to carbon neutrality. The interesting thing about the deal is that it was not made in U.S. dollars.
A clear sign that both nations want to resist the rule of the U.S. dollar and build an alternative.
