China’s Trade With Germany Reached a Record High in 2021

China will remain Germany’s most important trading partner in 2021, according to the Federal Statistical Office. Trade between the two countries reaches a record level.

Xinhua news agency reported that exports and imports between China and Germany increased by 14.7% year-on-year to 222.3 billion euros in January-November 2021.

The report states that “China’s importance to Germany’s international trade has grown exponentially in the past few decades. China has been Germany’s most important foreign trading partner since 2016.”

In addition, imports from China increased 18.6% year-on-year to €127 billion in the first 11 months of 2021. Data processing equipment, electrical and optical products, electrical equipment, and machinery have been the most important import products.

Exports of goods from Germany to China increased by 10% to 95.2 billion euros, with the most important export goods being motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts, machinery, data processing equipment, electrical and optical products.
