According to ESG mutual funds in the United States, inflows increased from $5.4 billion in 2018 to $51 billion in 2020, with approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management (AUM).
In Thailand, where ESG funds are growing rapidly, the total number of funds between 2019 and 2021 is 75 funds, the net asset value (NAV) is 590 million baht in 2019, 3,889 million baht in 2020, and 36,583 million baht in 2021, a growth of more than 10 times.
In addition, ESG stock prices have outperformed the market. According to MSCI, ESG stocks generate a return of 19.3%, compared to a market return of 15.8%, SET data for 2020-2021 showed.
