Early Bitcoin price movement in the new year remains highly volatile giving traders plenty of room to move. As of 8:35 a.m. ET today (Jan. 4), Bitcoin was down 2.57% at $46,296.66.
The bitcoin price moved into negative territory this morning. It happened after the Dow opened the new year on a positive note. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 246 points on Monday (Jan. 3), the first trading day of 2022, with investors open to risk. Apparently, investors turned to stocks after alleviating concerns about the spread of the Omicron strain amid confidence in the recovery of the U.S. economy.
