Bitcoin falls to $57,000 following MicroStrategy’s move to buy more Bitcoins.
This morning (December 2), Bitcoin was down 0.4% at $56,553 after a gradual recovery; currently, the price is at $57,179.72.
The price drop followed after MicroStrategy acquired 7,002 BTC, worth over $414 million.
Making the purchase brings the company’s total bitcoin holdings to 121,044 BTC, with an average Bitcoin acquisition at $59,187 per coin. The figure is far below the record high of $69,000 set in early November.
Gradually increasing its Bitcoin holdings, MicroStrategy has already made $3.57 billion worth of Bitcoin purchases. The average purchase price is $29,534 per Bitcoin.
