Mastercard and Bitkub Launch Crypto Card

Mastercard, the global payments giant, has announced a partnership with leading Thai crypto exchange Bitkub to make it easier for users to convert cryptocurrencies into cash.

Mastercard has partnered with three leading cryptocurrency providers in the Asia-Pacific region: Singapore’s Amber Group, Australia’s Coinjar, and Thailand’s Bitkub. The partnership aims to introduce a dedicated MasterCard payment card for cryptocurrencies.

Safdar Khan, President of Mastercard’s Emerging Markets Southeast Asia Division, said:

“Both businesses and consumers are already very interested in cryptocurrencies.

The trend of the cryptocurrency market in Thailand and Southeast Asia. We have seen incredible innovation and technology, including changes geared towards crypto.

And we will see more and more large corporations investing in cryptocurrencies to expand this service to millions of customers.”

In addition to exchanging cryptocurrencies for cash, crypto reward cards are also offered. Here, users can collect points and immediately redeem them for cryptocurrencies.

This program is part of MasterCard’s crypto strategy to benefit customers, businesses and enterprises by offering more options for cryptocurrency transactions.
