OPEC+ meet today (Oct. 4) to set oil production policy
The meeting is expected to shed light on whether OPEC+ will further increase current crude oil production levels. OPEC+ has already increased oil production for this year by 400,000 barrels per day in an earlier deal. As there are currently supply problems around the globe, a further increase is now on the cards.
Analysts continue to assess the situation in the oil market tightly and are waiting for the result of the OPEC+ meeting. Should the OPEC + to bring themselves to increase the output even further, the situation could relax for the first. Several experts predict for the end of the year, however, further increases in oil prices. Since natural gas has recently become extremely expensive, the first countries have already considered a switch to oil.
